This Privacy Policy describes how Satoshinhos collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data.
Data we collect
When you use Satoshinhos we collect: name, profile picture, and email address provided by your login provider (Google); profile information you add voluntarily (bio, slug, social links, preferred currency, time zone); transaction data (sats amounts, dates, payment status, Lightning invoice metadata, your Blink username when set); technical data such as IP address, browser type, and time zone; records of active sessions (device, IP, login time).
Legal basis for processing
We process your data under the following bases: contract performance — to deliver the video-call brokering service and route Lightning invoices; consent — when you create your account and accept these terms; legal obligation — to meet tax and regulatory requirements; legitimate interest — for service improvements, security, and fraud prevention.
How we use your data
We use your data to: authenticate your identity and keep your session secure; schedule and connect 1:1 video calls between creators and buyers; generate Lightning invoices on the recipient creator’s wallet (we never hold your sats custodially); send important notifications such as ticket confirmations, call reminders, refund updates, and support replies; detect and prevent fraud and suspicious activity; meet tax and legal obligations.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only when necessary: with the authentication provider (Google) for sign-in; with our Lightning provider (Blink) to generate on-behalf invoices for sats settlement; with infrastructure providers (hosting, transactional email, storage); and when required by a court order or proven legal obligation. Every partner that receives personal data is bound by data-protection agreements.
Storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is 100% secure — we encourage you to keep your Google account secure.
Data retention
We keep your personal data while your account is active. Transaction data is retained for the period required by applicable tax law. After account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where the law requires longer retention.
Your rights
You have the right to: confirm whether we process your data; access your personal data; correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data; request anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary data; receive your data in a portable format; revoke consent at any time; and learn with whom your data is shared. To exercise any of these rights, use the options on the Settings page or open a support ticket.
Minors
Satoshinhos is not intended for users under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor’s data has been collected, it will be removed promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Relevant changes will be communicated by email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after the changes implies your acceptance of the updated policy.
